The Silvretta Arena, one of Tyrol’s higher-lying winter sports paradises which guarantees snow security from November to early-May, offers its visitors 44 state-of-the-art cable cars, 238 km of superbly groomed ski runs, the largest freestyle snow park in the Alps and impressive powder snow pistes for free riders!

The perfect winter holiday
Those who want to enjoy the marvellous mountain scenery of the Paznaun Valley can go cross-country skiing on the sheer endless cross-country skiing tracks and perfect their style – no matter whether they prefer classic or skating. For those who like sledding: night sledding along the 7km long sled run, one of the longest in the Alps, is offered twice a week depending on the snow conditions.
If you want to experience the stunning mountain scenery of the Alps without having to return to the village in the evening, you can sleep at one of the many quaint mountain lodges or huts. The Heidelberger Hütte can be reached comfortably from the skiing area.
For ski tourers this and the Jamtalhütte, a hut which lies nearby, are ideal starting points for wonderful tours, both for beginners and experienced tourers. Profit from the experience of a professional tour guide to make sure you arrive at your destination safely and comfortably.

The ideal starting point
The Brandhof and the Brandhof Lodge are the ideal starting point for awesome winter hikes with or without a dog:
- winter hike “Mutta” – from our hotel in the direction of Madleintal, there and back in about 1 – 1.5 hours
- Ischgl – Mathon – with the Wilderer Hütte (including a game reserve) as a good location for a pause and some refreshments, there and back in about 2.5 – 3 hours
- Mathon – Friedrichshafener Hütte – a ten-minute bus ride with the ski bus which is for free, there and back in about 3-4 hours
- Galtür – Bielerhöhe – a fifteen-minute bus ride with the ski bus, there and back in about 4 hours
